Can i have your take out menus please? :)

Hi there guys, I am currently in the process of setting up a new site called iGotMunchies.co.uk which is a search engine for take away menus. I am starting small by adding both my home towns Newport and Grimsby, and then intend on taking on the rest of the country. I am requiring as many take away menus as possible. So if you have any spare ones lying around, please could you send them to the following address. It would be greatly appreciated. Andrew Cargill Students' Union University of Wales, Newport, Caerleon Campus, Newport, NP18 3YD Thanks so much, Andy www.iGotMunchies.co.uk

Hi there, just out of interest, how are you planning on keeping the prices up to date?

Hi there, thanks for leaving a message. To start with the majority of menus will be added by myself. Although already there is the facility for takeways to go on the website and upload/edit their own menus/details.

Our new groups section could do with a take-aways section! Fancy managing it?

Ah kwl sounds good, but the problem as with paper menu's is that prices go out of date quite quickly, and with everything else, would take-away owners have the time to keep updating them? I suppose the price deosn't matter so much as the items available? And the site is still good for take-aways to advertise services and location.

There a lots of take-aways in Newport alone!!! The Dragon Palace, Chepstow Road, is my favorite.

Re: Can i have your take out menus please? :)

I would love to help out, but the time it is taking for me to manage iGotMunchies doesn't leave me with much time to do anything else at the moment. Maybe it is something we can work on when I have finished with setting this up.

I think the main reason I have constructed the site is so people can see what they serve. The prices are always changing, but then I don't think I have ever ordered from a takeaway and paid the correct price for it lol. So hopefully doesn't matter to much. I quess time will tell.

I have never tried Dragon Palace. My favourites are Yummies and Poppadoms, although the Railway Tandoori does the best curry in town. But is just that bit to expensive.

I made a facebook application for the site this evening. If you are on the book check it out at, http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=26500966404

The groups section is also useful for advertising your site, and as you are establishing it in Newport first it may be a good place to start, the-port.co.uk is targetted at Newport!!!

Creating a group is easy as it is HTML, and you can add links back to your own site.

Re: Can i have your take out menus please? :)

a nice and cheap chinese takeaway in newport that i like to use is masterchef on corporation road, they do a special deal on mondays and tuesdays where you get 4 main dishes from the menu for ten quid, i havent seen or heard of better yet and the food quality is just as good as the likes of dragon palace just much cheaper, also they do chicken balls which i think the dragon has stopped doing, what a shame cos i love em lol......

Ya right The Dragon Palace is relatively expensive, i'll have to give Masterchef a try... the sweet and sour chicken at the Dragon does not come in ball shapes Sad more like battered patties, nice but hard to dip lol

'Best Kebabs' is the best kebab shop in Newport aswell ... By the cenetaf in maindee.

The Great Wall was nice about 8 years ago, recently it is just a pile of grease.

Your worried about rats in bins when you eat Kebabs????

Whenever I eat there its Never greasy.

Plus its hard to see what goes on behind the scenes of these places lol

I hardly go to the chinese so im not debating that

    As for the Kebabs.

Gareth dont eat kebabs, He sticks to his frozen Chicken Nuggets ( which I always see being opened from the frozen packet and put in the deep fat fryer, So I know no rats have touched them )

    Over and Out.
