Purple Thursday is a four piece punk rock emo band based in Newport, South Wales. With an array of anthemic lyrics and vocals, melodic guitar parts, the band provides a stunning show of talent. The only way to understand the music, is to live the music...and that is exactly what PT have done. Formed in December 2003, the first accomplishment of the new four-piece was to win the talent contest held in the local school. After a small change in the lineup, and a few name changes, Purple Thursday was reborn. Now with a collection of songs laid down (at Nottin Pill (Newport), and Screamadelica (Cardiff) ), PT have just released a 5 track EP entitled: Heroes For Hire.
